For our reading block we use a program called Super Kids. During the reading block students will rotate to different stations: independent reading, guided reading with Mrs. Hutson, technology, writing, and grammar.

Writing:

Writing will typically be connected to our Project Based Learning (PBL), however, for the next few weeks we will work on writing about ourselves and create an All About ME.

This week in Writing, we will:

Recognize that writing has different purposes

Review sequence worcds

Generate ideas before writing

Follow oral directions

Free write

Use props to support spoken messages

Distinguish between complete and incomplete sentences

Ask your child: What does every sentence need? What are the 3 things we do when we give feedback? (kind, specific, immediate). What is stamina?
